With a new prototype device, researchers say that it is possible to determine painlessly and with absolute certainty during the appointment whether the patient's stomach troubles are caused by Helicobacter.

Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) is planning follow-up projects intended to develop the device for diagnosing other illnesses. The device can be used to analyze proteins and various chemicals. Oxygen17 can be measured as well.
