Mission

• Promote safe and environmentally sound isotope technologies for global wellbeing
• Promote the sharing of information on peaceful uses of isotope technologies among WCI members
• Cooperate actively with other regional and international organizations in the promotion of the peaceful applications of isotope technologies
• Provide a strong voice, as an internationally recognized non-governmental organization, at important regional and international forums
• Sanction the international Conference on Isotopes that is held every two to three years
• Identify isotope-related topics of interest and concern to WCI members that warrant consideration by the WCI
• Conduct studies on topics and issues of importance to WCI members through specific workshops and working groups; publicize, promote and implement the results of such studies
• Develop appropriate policies and procedures to conduct the activities of the WCI
